




Dr Guzmán is a Senior Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon with 20 years of expertise in complex arterial and venous interventions, aortic surgery, and minimally invasive endovascular procedures. She is an Ex Program Training Director of the Vascular Surgery Fellowship at King Saud Medical City and Ex National Committee Member of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
She is currently serving as a Consultant at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi and Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Gulf Medical University. Dr Guzmán is actively engaged in research, medical education, and faculty roles at leading vascular conferences across the GCC, and is passionate about advancing vascular surgery through innovation, teaching, and patient-centered care.
Dr Mistry studied medicine and surgery in Pretoria attaining his MBChB. Thereafter he completed his MMed in Surgery and Fellowship in Surgery FCS(SA) at the University of Pretoria. He completed his CVS(SA) (Certificate of Vascular Surgery) achieving a distinction and received the CJC Nel Award from VASSA. He was involved as a consultant at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital until 2022 and currently has private practices at Netcare Sunninghill Hospital, Life Fourways Hospital, Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre and Johannesburg Surgical Hospital. He has been affiliated with Wits University Department of Surgery since 2010 and is currently still actively involved.
Dr Mistry has a special interest in complex endovascular aortic surgery and dialysis access surgery. He has presented at many congresses and been involved in organizing many workshops related to vascular surgery. He has been an EXCO member of VASSA since 2010, Secretary (2018–2023), President Elect (2022–2023) and Immediate Past President (2023–2025) of the Society. He is also the Immediate Past President of the World Federation of Vascular Surgery (2024–2025) and a Counsellor for the European Society of Vascular Surgery.
